Hazardous Tone Signaling Amplified Speakers – TMH Series

TMH Series signals are high output, continuous-duty amplified speakers designed for tone signaling and fire alarm applications in hazardous locations. TMH Series signals draw extremely low power from the audio system while producing clear tone signals up to 107 dBA.

Each TMH Series signal features a rugged speaker cone and a projector constructed from spun aluminum. The amplification, power management, and other internal circuitry are built into a rugged die-cast aluminum housing that is sealed with powder coat paint and includes dust- and moisture-proof gaskets.

Designed for high-quality tone signaling in hazardous environments and areas with high ambient noise, TMH Series amplified speakers are engineered for use in areas with flammable gases, vapors, or combustible dust.

The TMH Series uses the speaker-level output of a new or existing audio or fire alarm system to produce high-decibel tone signals. Typical applications include emergency warning, plant evacuation, process control, and public address signaling in oil refineries, chemical plants, marine environments, and other hazardous locations.

TMH Series amplified speakers can be connected to either a 25 Vrms or 70 Vrms speaker circuit. The input level is user-selectable using an onboard jumper, eliminating the need for additional modules.

The audio output power can also be adjusted by ±3 dB using an onboard jumper, providing a maximum sound pressure level of either 104 dBA or 107 dBA on axis at 10 feet.

Available in 24 VDC (TMH-24) and 120 VAC (TMH-120) versions to suit a wide range of power supply configurations.
